Miller
FUKA FOODS LTD Company deals in milling and sale of Maize and other cereals. The company
sells fortified Maize Flour, Maize Bran and Maize Germ which are used for processing of
animal/Fish/Poultry feed. The company markets its products across Nairobi and Western Kenya.
The company aims to diversify and introduce more offerings into the Market within one year
of operation. In addition, Fuka Foods will within the year 2023 venture into Animal Feeds
manufacturing and selling, which will open even more opportunioties.
FUKA FOODS was founded in September 2023, and started operations in January 2022. At optimal
level, there is opportunity for fifty (50) employees – both Permanent and Casuals.
As a Miller/Mechanic, one is tasked to improve the machine performance, maximization of mill
yield/extraction, reduction of production waste, improvement in the preparation of the raw
material and, improvement in the finished product quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the Maize and related materials received meet all the quality
parameters with regards to Moisture Content, Aflatoxin, cleanliness/purity, etc.
- Supervise and ensure a Clean Plant, Equipment and Environment.
- Execute the milling activities and ensures the flour and Extract produced is
consistent in quality, hygienic for human consumption and meets customer
satisfaction.
- Attain an Output Target as will be assigned by Management (Flour, Germ & Bran), in
line with the Mill Capacity.
- Effectively manage all factors in Milling to attain a Target Efficiency for Flour
extraction
- Apply the Plant Maintenance Schedules as per policies to maintain the equipment
quality. Where applicable, institute, manage and implement Preventive and Predictive
Maintenance.
- Manage Downtime and ensure no unnecessary stoppages
- Ensure that operations are run safely at all times
- Providing any other ad hoc duties assigned to you from time to time by the Director
or any other person appointed by the Company for this purpose.
Qualifications:
- Education level – Minimum Diploma level
- Experience – 2 Years
