Extension Officer
Our partner is looking for Extension Officers to offer training and capacity-building to
poultry farmers in the areas of assignment. The individuals will also ensure the trained
farmers can commercialise businesses within the poultry value chain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Training poultry farmers on chicken production and commercialisation
- Monitoring the production of chicken to guarantee a healthy stock
- Grouping farmers for ease of aggregation and collection of the chicken reared
- Onboarding farmers on epoultry
- Contracting farmers as per the targets assigned
- Gathering data
Qualifications
- A diploma in agriculture, extension and agronomy or related subjects
- At least three years of work experience in agricultural production
- At least one year in agricultural extension
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including government institutions,
the private sector, agri-input suppliers, research institutions, producer groups
and market associations
- Demonstrated experience in documentation and reporting
